Creating an intuitive quote experience

Utilita Home were looking to launch a mobile-first, performance-driven quick quote funnel for onboarding customers to their solar energy services. In line with their ethos of making energy smarter and more efficient, they needed a seamless user experience to match. Behind-the-scenes, the information architecture and tech stack needed to be carefully considered and supportive of complex funnel and form logic, key third-party integrations and data processing considerations.

Setting the foundations for success

The solar join journey we created helped us achieve our joint goals of enabling a seamless user experience as well setting a solid technical foundation for launching future experiences. The meticulously planned user journey allows for different paths, hard stops and call-to-actions that mean Utilita Home capture and engage with as many leads as possible with the ultimate goal of onboarding more customers. Our process and tech stack created a sustainable and flexible custom product that we could use as a reference point for future projects in our long-term partnership with Utilita.

Starting the journey

Utilita Home needed a clean and engaging way of routing potential customers into the quote funnel. We launched a digital experience as an off-shoot from the main Utilita website to promote the energy offerings and provide a starting point for the join journey, guiding them seamlessly to the solar services and products.

Nailing the tech stack

The solar join journey we’ve created is powered by a headless Sanity web app – meaning that the frontend user experience is separated from the backend content management system. Nailing the tech stack has enabled us to create a scalable and secure solution that allows for complex funnel logic and integrates more easily with their internal systems, while providing an elevated experience on the frontend. This carries through to the marketing website, which is also powered by headless WordPress to offer the same flexibility and performance.
